Just wondering what the board's thoughts were on when is the appropriate time to begin studying for level 2. I ordered the L2 curriculum the first day my L1 results became avaliable to take advantage of the discount. But i've been thinking, assuming i started studying now, and assuming 300 hours of study for L2; that would be 7 hrs/wk, every week up to exam day. 7 hrs is good chunk of time out of the week; 1 hr a day, but not as burdensome as 2-3hrs if waited till spring to begin study. What are everyone's thoughts? From what i've heard L2 is significantly more difficult than L1 and 300 hrs is probably a minimum to ensure passing. |

How long did you guys honestly study for Level 1? |

You are right in the sense that L2 is much more difficult than L1. I made the mistake of waiting too long to prepare for L2 after passing L1 with little preperation |

I started late November, but didn't really buckle down until January. I totally freaked out the day of the exam thinking I wasn't adequately prepared, but I passed it. It is much harder than Level I, but I think most of the difficulty comes from the fact that you are looking at investments from a more international side than domestic. This is a change of pace for a lot of us. |

Mcspaddj, just curious what study materials did you use to pass it (other than the CFA curriculum obviously). How do Analystnotes prepare you for level 2 if you used them? For level 1 I thought analystnotes was very good, I passed. I'm tempted to use them again based on their cost-effectiveness relative to other prep providers but at the same time I want to get the best preparation possible. Looking to ace these things one after another without repeating a level; projected finish date of 2018 at L3. I would appreciate anyones thoughts on how good Analystnotes is at L2. And please, only comment if you've used them at L2. |

I passed! I did not get a chance to tell you before the exam - but your site was excellent. I will definitely take it next year for Level II.
