I am having trouble calculating the price of a bond on my texas instrument BAII plus calculator. In Reading 66, there's an exhibit 4 table with the prices. Pg 524 /volume 5. In the table: yield% = 4% Coupon = 6% 5 year Price shows 108.9826 however, my calculator shows 108.9036. Why is there a difference? Is it b/c of the setting of my calculator? Am I entering the info incorrectly? Here's what I am entering to get the Price of the bond: N=5 i/y = 4 PMT = 6 FV=100 Please help. Thanks! |

Actually, never mind. I know what I did wrong. I needed to set the P/Y to 2. And the PMT =3, and N=10 to get 108.9826 ;P |

I am happy to say that I passed! Your study notes certainly helped prepare me for what was the most difficult exam I had ever taken.
