I am currently finishing up on my CSC (Canadian Securities Course). Once I finish part 2 of the exam, I plan to register for the CFA level 1. I know the CSC is way easier than the CFA. Can someone give me an idea the level of difficulty of the CFA level 1 as compared to the CSC? ( I guess this applies to those who has attempted both exams). Thank you. |

Not comparable, CFA is much much broader and the areas covered are not the same. CSC won't really help in your preparation for the CFA, but it's required in some areas, as you know. |

I've spent 3 weeks studying for the CSC (3-4 hours in the evenings on workdays, typically the entire day on the weekends) and got Honors (a bit over 90%). I found it to be easy. I am currently studying for Level I. I find all of CSC was covered by Level I, Level I will probably take me three months of similar intensity as CSC. I would compare the CSC to an overview reading ("first reading") of the Level I course, before you dive into doing the problems and understanding in depth. |

I was very pleased with your notes and question bank. I especially like the mock exams because it helped to pull everything together.
