Hi everybody! I am currently considering enroling in CFA level 1. But just need a little bit career advice to help me make this commitment. I have bachalor in Marketing, master in communications. Now I am an investment consultant in one of the big 5 banks in Canada. I am planning to move to the states either end of this year or next year. I am very interested in Financial industry. I like what I am doing for now, but do want to move to Portfolio management if that is possible. Here is my game plan. Continue what I am doing now, gain more experience, mostly sales experience, and finish CFA level 1 or 2, and start looking for jobs in portfolio management side. How does this sound? Please give me some advice, thanks a lot! Oh,forgot to mention, I am in my late 20s. |

CFA isn't a sure-fire way in, but it'll definitely make you stand out. |

I am happy to say that I passed! Your study notes certainly helped prepare me for what was the most difficult exam I had ever taken.
