most of you likely don't follow what is happening with the cfa institute. a cfa entrance exam is an idea which is being thrown around by the cfai board and members. i believe this is a great idea. it would keep a lot of clowns out of the program which would eliminate the people guaranteed to fail. |

There is a CFA entrance exam. It is called Level 1. |

its not official and may not happen for a year or two. at a recent society luncheon some of the board had mentioned it in a discussion of the future of the program. and i saw it somewhere in minutes of cfai board meetings. im sure you could find it if you looked. also, cfai proxies were mailed last week. i dont think theres anything significant this year though. nothng like the name change or 4 yr work experience. (i also was telling people that the experience requirments were getting stricter but everyone cried b.s.) |

I agree with judo the L1 is the entrance exam. |
