Hi I like to clarify this; I intend to get CFA degree but I am an Engineer without much of finance background. what would be the response from the employers, when I complete CFA ?. Or the employers give preference to the candidate with finance ground only?. But I have done many successful investments. |

#1 its a designation, not a degree #2 employers won't care if you don't have financial background when you have CFA (the level of finance learnt even in the 1st level equals all the finance you may learn during your undergrad #3 the tough part would be getting a job at first in finance that satisfies the 'work experience' requirements to actually get the designation (which is 3 years of applicable work experience) #4 the only time your personal investments will even be relevant will be in an interview when they ask you if you've ever done any investments, what positions you've held and why? |
