I am an Engineer and trying to get foot in the finance field. I have completed CFA L3 and hopefully I should pass. I am now trying the difficult task of finding a job. Unfortunately the Market kinda suqs and I am seeking guidance from experienced people on how to go.

I could get a Corporate finance job in my Company with log of effort and a huge paycut but I would like to get into some interesting areas like Equity Research or Derivatives, etc. I have a 750+ GMAT score and an reasonably good at Maths Modelling.

Please someone in finance field suggest me a realistic assestment on situation and suggest me a decent plan of action.
Your help is really really appreciated.
