Failed. Band 8.

Not a surprise, I spent only 2 weeks studying half the subjects...didn't do any practice exams...I only had 1 day to study for Ethics...lol.

I had 2 final round job interviews in Nov. The good news is I landed a great job in San Francisco! And I don't need a CFA in that line of work.

PASSED :) with non-finance and non-business background. CFAI textbooks and analystnotes pro package only. It took 5 months of hardwork and sacrifices and finally got paid off. This is a sweet moment.

would you mind sharing what you thought was the most important think(s) you did in your 3 months of prep as a non-finance/business background (which prep, etc). I am similarly situated and have gone through the first 3 SS's to this point, so there is still time for me to adapt my strategy. Thanks for the advice and congratulations to you and all other passers! Everyone else, persevere and see you in June!

PS-- I apologize if it seems like I am hijacking the thread. I am new and did not see a PM function. If a mod would prefer to start this as a new thread, I am fine with that. Thanks. -BB

I passed too!
I used only Schweser notes to pass.
But it's too too too risky to use just Schweser notes as a lot of unexpected questions came out!

Congrats to those that passed. Band 10 fail, feel a bit disappointed - but encouraged enough to pass in June. Also discovered analyst notes site too late.....

For those who didn;t make it, FYI I also failed the first time in Dec 2008.

I took two weeks to digest 6 2006 version Schweser notes and did 7 sets of Mock exams here at AN.

At first I thought I would fail because questions were pretty tough - many many tough questions.

My advice is: If really dun have time to read CFA study materials, do the exercises.
