I like this blog:

If you browse through the internet, it will tell you CFA itself is useless. The statement is pretty pointless. Tell you nothing more than discouraging you from taking CFA.

Here's my two cents. If you want to have a chance to take a senior role in say investment advisory and/or management etc. in the future, take CFA and as early as possible. Get it done before age 25. It will help you fly higher when you have enough experience. You might have a lousy job now but it doesn't mean forever. You need time to buy experience.

Let me give you one simple example. You don't graduate from university then work for 5 or 10 years and think about whether you need CFA to progress further in your career. Who likes studying after 30s? Get it done when you can still turn on study mode. Passing CFA exams, even if it doesn't get you an i-banker job right away, proves at least your learning ability and time management skill.

As Steve Job said: you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.
