From my understanding, Auditor is no longer on the list of approved job descriptions. Having said that, many auditors in Big 4 practises go on to corporate finance and similar advisory positions within the firm that would most likely qualify for CFA. So it depends on what you do for E&Y. As an articling CA student, you would be an auditor and thus it would not qualify (the main reason I turned down Big 4 CA jobs) but once you complete the CA (3 years, give or take) you might be able to switch job roles into something that could qualify for CFA work experience. |
