Hi - would like to get a better idea of:
1. what equity research analysts do 2. what the most commonly used software in equity research is (e.g. SAS, Crystal Ball) 3. and a sense of whether their recruiting is very structured - like at I-Banks - or less so. Thank you!! |

Set up valuation models which involves a lot of Excel work. Coordinate with others like a senior analyst or an economist. Involvement with the managers of the companies he's covering to get an idea of the companies from the inside. Writing reports. |
