I am considering starting to work towards a CFA. I am currently an MBA student with no real financial work experience. But I am a little confused on the membership requirements to sit for the exams. Do you have to already be in the industry and/or get a sponsor in order to sit for the Level 1? |

You do not have to be a member to write any of the exams. However, in order to apply for award of the CFA Charter. You must be a memeber of CFA Institute and your local society and your sponsor must send in a form to CFA Institute. MBA Student? What school? What program? |
