Hi,
I am an undergraduate Final year student studying BA(Hons) Accounting and Finance in a university in London. However, i have registered for CFA June 2016 exam, since i want to earn my degree at the same time pass my level one CFA exam.Which means by the time i graduate i would also have pass my level 1 CFA Exam. I want to know whether that would benefit when applying for a graduate position with an investment Bank. This is just a Strategy i want to use to be able to beat other candidate's applying for graduate position. I want to know whether this strategy can really benefit me. Anybody with a suggestion hit me back.

Can't hurt - shows ambition if nothing else. Just make sure it doesn't screw up your degree results. I've a frinend who did it - failed L1 and only got a 2.2 in his degree in the end

I know the place I started in had CFA study as part of the contract. In London especially they know about it and like it. It's a bitch to get a grad job so something like that would definitely show dedication and a general interest in the subject, which a lot of people won't show even at the interview stage (ask other candidates at an interview whats happening in the market and they won't have a clue). Banks love motivation, teamwork and a general interest in finance on the CV and the more you can show of all 3 the better chances you'll have. Just make sure to put degree study first!
