Hi, I just took one of the CFA Institute's exams this past weekend. $50 for 30 questions (which I think is about 1/4 the size of the full day of exams). They have 2 available for Level II. I wish I had saved my money. It's given online and timed. The good thing is that it probably approximates the actual difficulty of the questions and you get instant feedback for every question. The bad thing is that it's not representative of the full scope of the exam, you don't really have time to take notes on what you did correctly or incorrectly and the whole thing disappears after the time is up. You can't review the questions once you've answered them. On the whole I thought it was a waste of money. Well, it was overpriced at least. Just thought I'd share that. For those of you who don't already know, you can purchase a mock exam from your local CFA chapter that's created by the Boston Society. I didn't know about it last year myself and thought someone else my benefit from my passing that on. It's full length, costs about $50 and is a better deal than the CFA Institute's new paid practice tests for Level II in my opinion. Good luck to all. -J |

I'm glad you posted how they worked..I was wondering if they would be worth the money..that sucks that you can't review them later...I think I'll save my $50 for post-test binge drinking... |
