Hello I am taking Level 2 in June, 2018. What do you think of a job prospect for a person with both Ph.D. and CFA? I am an economist working in a university but thinking of getting into finance industry. Any thoughts? |

Lboro, you're very employable. However, depends on which area of a bank you'd like to work in and how your academic experience would make a positive impact there. I've seen friends who've taken positions which they feel are 'below them' to get their foot in the door and rise through the ranks fairly quickly because of their academic achievements. Banks don't seem to have appetite to train and nurture their staff in such a way that they used to. They want you productive and profitable from day 1 it seems... |
