I am seriously thinking about studying for my CFA. My background is being a commercial/residential mortgage banker and realtor. Do people think that I should read all the textbooks for the CFA program? Or will I be alright with the Level 1 books and purchasing notes from here?

Thanks,

Mark

If you are appearing for CFA Level 1 Exam, the study notes sent by CFA Institute would suffice for preparation. But it does not have sufficient questions for practice and the CFA Institute notes are quite comprehensive. You should also practice on a lot of questions to prepare yourself for the examination. Also if you are short on time (Given your commercial banker job profile), then CFA notes might take time to go through.

I just wanted to share the good news that I passed CFA Level I!!! Thank you for your help - I think the online question bank helped cut the clutter and made a positive difference.
