First of all, the higher, the better. If your ranking is 60%, than means your score was better tan 60% of people who took the same questions.

Secondly, it can one of two possibilities in your case:
1. The exam engine only takes the last 50 questions you have taken for a study session to rank you. Here is one scenario:
On day 1 you took 10 questions, and did all of them correctly.
On day 2 you took 40 questions, and did 20 correctly.
Now for this last 50 questions you did 30 correctly, and your correct ratio is 60% (note this 60% is not your ranking, which is based on many other factors).
Then today you took 10 questions, and did 7 correctly. You think you did 70% right and the current ranking should be higher (than the original 60%). However, now for the last 50 questiions you did 27 correctly. The first 10 are not counted anymore. So your correct ratio is actually 54%, lower than your old one.

2. The exam engine dynamically assigns different weights to all questions based on people's validated scores. Easy questions which most people answer correctly get smaller weights than difficult questions. So if you happen to complete some easy questions today, you might get a lower ranking even if you think you did better than before.

The exam engine does everything in the back end of the web site (randomly select questions, assign weights to different questions, rank people, ...) I am currently compiling an faq section and try to explain as much as I can. This faq should be ready by the end of the month.

Thanks for posting this message. I hope I've answered your question.

Good luck,

Mike
