Hello Everyone I want to break in to the field of financial analysis, but I'm not sure what the best path to do this is. A little background: I am about 4 years out of college (UConn). I did fairly well in school (3.5 GPA), but was ill-prepared for career choice at that point. I have been working in the field of Financial Information (think Bloomberg) for the past 3 years. My question is how do I get from a job where I deal with financial products but do not do any research on them to a job where I am analyzing and making decisions? I am extremely confident in my abilities and I desire this, I just don't know how to get there. I am considering taking the CFA Level I exam. Do you think this is a wise move at this point? What else, if anything, should I pursue in the meantime to make the jump to analysis? If you need any more specific details, I'd be glad to provide. Thanks |

I am happy to say that I passed! Your study notes certainly helped prepare me for what was the most difficult exam I had ever taken.
