I want to estimate the total cost of passing for CFA Level I exame (including enrollment, textbook, reference materials, etc.) Any help would be appreciated. |

$990 to register ($390 one-time enrollemnt fee + $600 to register for level 1 exam) $69 for Study notes here or $400 elsewhere (which are essentially similar), if you buy textbooks and answer guides another $800 or so; plus BA ($35-$40?) or HP calculator ($70); plus opportunity cost of 250+ hours of study time. You can also spend $$ on videos, flashcards, seminars, on-line study guides, etc. The study notes are the minimum and if you really want to learn the stuff. |

The cost of the CFA program must also include time costs, cost of not seeing family, cost of whatever best alternative you would have done with the time, it you cannot do CFA + MBA, then cost of CFA is forgone MBA too...keep these in mind. |
