Hi all - I swear when I looked up the work experience requirements a few months ago (when I first started studying), the requirement was three years. When I checked again today, it read that four years are required.

When I googled this, I saw they passed the four-year requirement in 2004, and it was to be phased in over the next three years. Does anyone know the details of the phase-in?

Am I imagining reading the three years just three months ago? Another year to wait for the charter... I could have my actuarial exams finished by then... ugh.

I think this 4-years requirement is to get CFA certificate/title. But it doesn't in anyway prevent you from taking this test although you don't have that work experience.
Additionally, if you pass the all 3 level, you will be able to work as CFA.
For exact info look through official web-site ( CFAinstitute.org)
